The service offered was exceptional. The breakfast was sensational with food and drinks, worth the price. The location seemed absolutely perfect and magnificent in a better area.

Well-maintained accommodation in a perfect location close to the theatre district and near two subway stations for easy access to Copacabana.

The place was well-maintained and high quality, no complaint, couldn't recommend more. The hotel was clean and the location was great and magnificent very near to metro station also near to Santos Dumont Airport which is plus.

Didn't like the staff, some of them were not so helpful.

location. The Lapa is a poverty place in Rio de Janeiro. The streets are really dirty and a lot of beggars around of that location. You need have a extra care of yourself when you are on the street. Just bargain a lot there.

The staff is very friendly. Our flight was at 8 pm and we checked out at 12 pm but the hotel let us stay in the room till 6 pm (using showers and so on).

The room was not very clean and I had to ask to change it. The hotel manager changed the room with no problems and the new ones was slightly better but still not clean up to European standards.

This place is clean, has excellent staff, comfy beds, breakfast with food and drinks, early check-in, and on-site parking.

Excellent location. Next to Santa Teresa and inside the nightlife of the Lapa district. The tube station is 5 minutes safe walking, so in 15-20 minutes you can be at Maracana or at Ipanema. The room was clean and the personel very helpful (although some of them spoke only portuguese).Value for money.

The 3rd day we had to change room. The second room had a smell, but this was not a very serious problem

Hotel Villa Rica is placed in a good position to visit the city of Rio de Janeiro, just next to Lapa neighbourhood, where on Friday and Saturday there is the most colourful night life.

My room was a little bit small, a very negative thing was that the refrigerator was just next to the bed and a bit noisy

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. When asked about getting to a tourist site they explained in good detail and showed the way to catch the right bus etc. I felt secure stayng there. I will return.

I will say I had a great eperience staying there and would repeat a stay for sure for the price.
